  Topics

CPR class

Our all-volunteer staff provides fully qualified training and certification in the following:

Canoeing Merit Badge
Heartsaver© (American Heart Association®)
CPR/AED Certification

Kayaking BSA Award
Lifesaving Merit Badge
Motor Boating Merit Badge
Rowing Merit Badge
Safe Swim Defense & Safety Afloat
Small Boat Sailing Merit Badge
Snorkeling Award
Swimming Merit Badge
Water Sports (formerly Waterskiing) Merit Badge
Whitewater Merit Badge

We offer weekend programs to help scouts meet the requirements for these badges, a merit badge completion day for scouts unable to finish the requirements for these programs at summer camp, and adult certification in required areas.

Certification program guidelines:
Read and study the merit badge pamphlet
before arriving at camp.

For all aquatics merit badges, be prepared to
demonstrate your knowledge of CPR.

Boy Scouts and Venturers must obtain
the unit leader’s approval to register for merit
badges.  Unit leaders should carefully consider
each youth’s ability before allowing them to
register.

Bring the merit badge application (blue card)
signed by the unit leader to the camp.

Instructors will cover all requirements, but
completion of the merit badge will depend upon
the participant’s ability to attain the required
proficiency.

Adult leaders and parents may also participate in these programs by registering and paying the required fee.  Whenever possible or requested, adults are instructed separate from the youth.  If you’re already skilled in one of the merit badge or program areas, the base instructors will appreciate your assistance.

Important Note:  Please be sure to register!  Also ensure your application is received four weeks (preferably) but no less than two weeks in advance of the scheduled weekend to permit notification of the volunteer staff.  Program fees are non-refundable if cancellation is received less than two weeks before the scheduled weekend.

Minimum Class Size:  Submit applications for less than the minimum class size as others are likely to register. You will be notified and fees refunded if the minimum class size requirement is not met.
