Swimming Merit BadgeProgram Description

You need to learn to be confident in the water, right?  You need to get ready to pass that DREADED SWIM TEST at summer camp, right?  This class is open ONLY to Beginners and Non-Swimmers who are ready to start SWIMMING!

Instruction will be geared toward building confidence in the water, learning basic skills, passing the Boy Scout Beginner or Swimmer test, and HAVING FUN!!!

This is a ONE DAY class.  Mark your calendar to attend Saturday April 26th from 9:30 AM until 2:00 PM.  Lessons start PROMPTLY at 10:00 AM after registration, don't be late.

Open to Boy Scout and Venturing age youth or older. Adult leaders are welcome to sign up to participate. Not open to Cub Scouts or Webelos Scouts.

Register online today! Registration deadline is Sunday, April 20th. Late registrations may be accepted. Contact the Camp Allatoona Program Chairman at (404) 520 2716 or email at Chairman@CampAllatoona.org to find out if space is available.

Class size:  Minimum 8, Maximum 40.


What to Bring

Swimming attire and towel
Swimming Merit Badge Booklet (optional)
Swim goggles, etc. (optional)
Current medical form
Class 3 medical required for adults 40 or over within the past 12 months
Class 1 - 2 medical required for Boy Scouts, Venturers, and adults under age 40
